Archbishop Desmond Tutu hospitalized after suffering 'recurring' infection

South African social/human rights activist and retired Anglican bishop, Desmond Tutu, 84, was on Wednesday rushed to a hospital in Cape Town, South Africa after suffering from a recurrent infection and will remain in hospital for one or two weeks according to a statement from his family.

According to his family, Desmond underwent hospital tests for a persistent infection in 2013 and also had a similar treatment for the infection last year.

Desmond Tutu is a Nobel Peace Prize award winner and is widely recognized for his role in ending apartheid in South Africa. Wish him safe recovery!
